| What is Coaching? |
 |
| Coaching is an interactive process that
helps individuals and organizations enhance performance and
develop potential. Coaching breaks down barriers and can help
you achieve greater levels of success at a rapid pace. It's a
self-leadership process designed to assist you in gaining
clarity in all areas including organizational, career, finance,
health and relationships. It is a collaborative effort that
applies the best from combined experiences, organizational
psychology, best business practices and philosophy. As a result
of coaching, our clients set better goals, take more action,
make better decisions, and more fully use their natural
strengths. |
 |
  |
| What is a Coach? |
 |
| A coach is a "personal success trainer;" a
dedicated professional who specializes in developing and helping
people achieve outstanding levels of success in their private
and professional life. A coach is part mentor, challenger,
sounding board and cheering section. A coach is an
accountability partner and a thinking partner. A coach helps
clarify values, goals and objectives. |
 |
  |
| How do Coaches work? |
 |
| Professional coaches are trained to listen
and observe. They customize their approach to meet your
needs. Their focus is to elicit solutions and strategies from
the chaos of everyday living. Coaches are trained to use various
tools to help accelerate the process. Their job is to provide
support; enhancing the skills, resources, and creativity you
already possess. A coach provides feedback from an objective
perspective. Coaching offers you a confidential platform to
practice your new skills. Results are achieved much faster in
this collaborative environment. |
 |
  |
| Why does coaching work? |
| |
| Coaching works for a number of reasons. As
you have probably discovered yourself, creating goals is the
easy part ... but sticking to them is harder! Being accountable
to someone else can make a profound impact on how much we
achieve. We are very often our own worst critic, so being
encouraged to stay focused and do what matters most is a key
ingredient to success. Sometimes we're so deep in what we are
doing that we lose perspective. Having an unbiased observer on
the 'side-lines', giving honest and open feedback can help you
stay focused on the big picture. |
 |
  |
| What should you look for when choosing a coach? |
 |
| Chemistry! It is important for you to find
a coach that you trust and respect. Without trust the real work
can never begin. |
 |
  |
| Our company is running pretty well. Would we benefit from coaching? |
 |
| Absolutely! Most organizations develop a
coaching program to prevent problems and to enhance performance.
Because coaching is one-on-one, it keeps everyone on track in a
very dynamic way. What organization in the world wouldn't
benefit from having the employees developed, enhanced and
satisfied? |
 |
  |
| How long is the normal coaching contract? |
 |
| This really depends upon your objectives.
Typically, most individuals will enroll in a 6 to 18 month
program. This allows for proper development of change strategies
and their successful implementation. One size does not fit all.
We customize each agreement to accomplish your objectives. |
 |
  |
| What about my privacy? |
 |
| Total confidentiality is critical in order
to establish the trust needed to create change. Since the coach
is an objective third party outside of the organization, there
is no agenda other than your success and well-being. |
 |
  |
| Can you describe a basic coaching plan? |
 |
| We begin by looking at your goals,
objectives and values and clarifying any areas of confusion.
Then we will assess your abilities, capabilities and desires. We
will then look at your strengths and potential areas of
development and determine where you would like to focus.
Issues that stand in the way of personal development and
performance are identified. Learning activities, which may
include reading, written assignments and role-playing, are
utilized to help eliminate these barriers. Action plans are
created and implemented. The main focus is to be continuously
striving to increase your success in all areas of concern. |
 |
  |
| What are some of the issues that we can work on? |
 |
| Among the major topics we address are team
building, leadership development, organizational alignment,
sales and project goals, conflict issues, task and time
management concerns, values, vision, establishing purpose,
ethics, creating a safe, stable and focused work environment,
employee satisfaction, employee retention, stress reduction,
accountability, confidence and profitability. |
 |
  |
| I don't see what I need
help with listed; does that mean that Telios is unable to provide
that service? |
 |
| No, we are experienced in too many areas of
development to list them all. You can talk to us about your
individual needs in one of our free introductory coaching
sessions. Our answers will help you determine if we are capable
of helping you achieve faster results. |
 |
  |
| How do you train for better leadership? |
 |
| There are both private and public areas of
leadership development. We help leaders break down the old
methods of thought, and adapt the new methods of leadership. Now
more than ever successful leaders are expected to create an
environment where individuals are inspired and empowered. We
work on developing Emotional Intelligence and teach how leaders
today are helping people find and fulfill their purpose. |
 |
  |
| I have heard about your
Total Commitment (TC) program, can you describe it for me? |
 |
| Our TC program is designed for those who
want to aggressively pursue results now. We begin by clarifying
your goals, objectives and values. Then we immerse you in an
intensive 90 day program featuring daily coaching sessions.
These sessions are designed to focus your efforts on achieving
your desired results now. Sessions are generally held in the
morning and evening. Accountability is strongly stressed as we
work your plan. This program is unique to Telios and is
extremely successful. It is designed for high achievers and peak
performers. The daily meetings provide structure, feedback,
perspective and encouragement to assist you in achieving your
goals as quickly and easily as possible. We must stress that
this is an intense program. During each morning session you will
commit to taking action and then report on your progress each
evening. |
 |
  |
| Why is coaching typically done on the phone? |
 |
| Coaching can take place on the phone or in
person. However, most coaching is done over the phone. This is
primarily for convenience reasons. Many people prefer to work
with their coach in pockets of generally non-productive time.
They may have the time in the early morning or in the early
evening. Coaches are specifically trained to listen so that
coaching over the phone is very effective. Keep an open mind
about it - you may be surprised. It may also not be feasible due
to geography or schedules to meet in person. It doesn't matter
where you live Telios Corporation can coach you. |
 |
  |
| How much does coaching cost? |
 |
Your first session with one of our coaches
is FREE and without any obligation or pressure to continue the
coaching. Our fees are based on the level of coaching you choose
that's right for your situation so that you receive incredible
value for your money. Most of our coaching is done on the phone,
but face-to-face sessions are available. Face-to-face sessions
generally cost more than coaching by phone. Between session
calls are not discouraged for brief questions. Our coaching
contracts include unlimited access to your coach via e-mail. We
offer generous group rates to companies who have multiple
executives who want to be coached.
We also offer consulting at hourly, half day and day rates
designed to help get you and your company to your goals quickly
and elegantly. Contact us for our current rates. |
 |
  |
| What is the difference between Coaching and Consulting |
 |
| A Coach focuses on clarifying and eliciting
from you the answers and knowledge that you possess. A
consultant offers recommendations and solutions to identified
problems. A consultant may also act a pair of hands working inside
the organization to implement change. |
 |
  |
| How do I prepare for my
Coaching call? |
 |
| Normally you will prepare an agenda of the
items you would like to discuss during the coaching call. These
items are usually focused on the issues identified during the
assessment process. These agendas help maintain direction and
focus in your coaching call. Homework is often assigned during a
coaching call. Completing the homework prior to your next call
assures your readiness to move on to new topics. |

| CONSULTING FAQ |
 |
| Don't consulting companies
always say what their client wants to hear? |
 |
| Telios is dedicated to helping
organizations be successful. We believe that accurate and honest
feedback will contribute to the continued success of the client.
We also believe that keeping a customer is easier to do than
finding a customer. If we provide you with sound solutions you
will invite us back to work on additional projects. This means
that we wont always tell you what you want to hear. The current
project may not be a good fit for our team. We may refer you to
another company who is better tooled to meet your need. In all
cases we will identify ways in which the opportunity can be
developed to maximize success even if this means turning it over
to somebody else. |
 |
  |
| Does Telios have a set per
hour rate? |
 |
| We prefer to work on a project basis. Our
fees depend on the complexity of your project and the number of
Telios associates working on the project. There are many other
variables necessary to establish our fee. Our fee structure is
usually identified after we have been through the discovery
phase. You do not pay until you accept our proposal. |
 |
  |
| Why should I use a consulting
firm if I have internal resources that have the same expertise
in a field? |
 |
| Many organizations have reduced their
expenses by reducing their work force. This leaves fewer
employees to do the same or greater amount of work. The single
largest reason for failure to evaluate operations and implement
change is that there simply isn't time to do it using existing
staff. Implementing change without adversely impacting the
organization takes a lot of careful planning, another task that
loses priority when dealing with daily operational issues. Also,
it makes good sense to obtain independent confirmation of the
appropriateness of organizational plans and assumptions. |
 |
  |
| We have a staff morale problem.
After making necessary cost reductions in our organization,
employees are nervous and distrustful of management. What can
Telios do to help us? |
 |
| We can help with this problem. We recommend
that you call us in when you think it might be necessary to go
through profound changes in your organization. We will help
resolve the issues using a participatory approach. Including
your staff in this process assures their support and
understanding of the changes that are imminent. Employees are
almost always willing to pitch in and help if they understand
the reasons for the changes. Telios facilitates change. If the
changes have already occurred, we can provide some team building
and staff education programs that will help with the adaptation
of the changes. |
 |
  |
| We are not sure what we
need to do in our organization. We just feel like we need to
make sure we are doing the right thing. Is Telios able to provide
direction and help if we are not sure what we need to do? |
 |
| Many organizations contact us with similar
inquiries. This is usually indicative of a organization in
transition. A reevaluation of the strategic plan often helps to
make sure the organization is on track. If it is, then an
operational assessment may be needed. Telios can provide this
service and help with subsequent recommendations that come out
of that assessment. |
 |
  |
| Do you know our specific
industry well enough to be able to help us? |
  |
| Given our associates' collective years of
cross-industrial experience, we have learned that all business
successes are driven by the same basic principles. We can help
assess the core competencies of your organization and assist you
in developing plans that address identified weaknesses. You know
better than anybody the specifics of your industry. Our focus is
to help you leverage the knowledge you possess to create greater
success. What we do best is bring new ideas from a fresh
perspective. Our cross-industry experience proves over and
over to be one the strengths we bring to our clients
organizations. |
 |
  |
| How can we know that you
can help us? |
  |
| Ask us some specific questions over the
phone, or by e-mail, and we will answer them free-of-charge. |
